Why Jagan will be more successful than Chiru in Andhra Politics

Well its been a long time since I wrote a blog. The last time I wrote,I tried my hand in predicting the outcome of the IPL matches and the teams involved in it.This time I am trying to write about the politics of Andhrapradesh. So here it goes..
From the day Jagan started his Odarpu Yatra,I like innumerable people from AP had predicted this outcome of Jagan resigning on his own from Congress party.
On the last weekend, I was just thinking about Jagan phenomenon and the impact that it is going to have on AP Politics; One thought struck my mind and it was about our Chiru and the way he entered the politics. It was with great hype and hoopla he came into politics, even before taking the baby steps he had thought(or was made to think of)that he is the next CM of AP.But he came to realise of late that dancing to the tunes of some masala telugu songs is better than winning in assembly elections.Leave elections, he does not even know what is the real factor required to get recognised or to win the elections; It is not that I know, but if you carefully observe any person who has made his mark in the politics,it clearly shows that they follow certain hard core rules that enable them to be successful.
So coming back to the topic of our discussion, lets do a comparison study of Jagan and Chiru and lets see why my prediction might become true

1.Two years ago, matinee idol mega star Chiranjeevi entered the state politics with a bang by launching a new political party – Praja Rajyam Party.

2.Two years later, another new political party is all set to be launched in the state by rebel leader and former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Like Chiranjeevi, he is also starting from scratch and aiming at the hot seat.

So, what is the difference between Chiranjeevi and Jagan? This question is naturally stirring the minds of political analysts. Though Chiranjeevi had a lot of charisma, he could not project any alternative political agenda before the people. As a result, he could not convert his charisma into votes. So what charisma does Jagan has and how is he gonna convert that to garner votes?

Secondly, Chiranjeevi had totally neglected on building the party’s organization from grass-root level to the state-level. Even now, he does not have a structured party organization. But, Jagan is going very cautiously and carefully. He is planning to build up a strong cadre base before taking a plunge into electoral battle. That is why he is not in a hurry to pull down the present government.This is what I like about Jagan, he seems to be very patient getting the feedback from nook and corner of the state, studying the telangana demand etc so that he is in a better position to set his agenda;When someone asked Chiru on why is he coming to Politics,he told that he wants to provide Saamajika Nyaayam,meaning of which he also dont know;

Chiru does not have any knowledge of any issue that is burning the state, this is where the grass root workers helps you in appraising the situation.if you forget about this main funda, then forget the politics.Because people communication, interaction and co-operation is required in any field, let it be politics, business as no one became successful just by his name, fame or hardwork in a field where the collective effort is required for success,he/she became so successful because they had the ability in maintaining the relationships with the people, with that he can build trust and with trust everything is possible. For eg:See Narendra Modi,Nitish Kumar and what they have acheived

And thirdly, when Chiranjeevi launched the PRP, there was no political vacuum in the state as the YSR factor was very strong and he literally gave everything for free,so why would a person vote other political party in that case. There was little space for the PRP in the state politics. But now, there is a complete political chaos in the state. The Congress is in total disarray, while the TDP is in a state of confusion. The parties are virtually divided on regional lines, thanks to the Telangana issue. And this is where Jagan has the chance to capitalize on the situation!

If Chiru and his master minds had concentrated on strengthening the party base without worrying about the result of elections, then I am sure he would have been in a better position today to dictate the state politics.

Jagan also has a TV channel and a largely circulated newspaper to his credit that can boost his image to any extent and also age is on Jagans side that might just prove costly to Chirus aspirations of coming to power.Hence I foresee a situation of PRP getting merged into Congress and Chiru becoming a cabinet minister one fine future day(if he sets aside his inflated ego). Please drop the dream of CM gaddhi Mr Konidela Shivashankar prasad as your time has gone and let the youngsters and the hardworking people take over now. Political drama is not like cinema, you can act only for three hours in front of camera, but when it comes to real life ,you need to act 365 days and 24/7,as I see that capacity in Jagan, I presume he would atleast win more seats than PRP,becoming CM will depend on his ability to carry forward his fathers legacy, determination and hardwork.

RCB and Deccan are out

I think by this time it is clear enough that in IPL 2010, the top honour is going to Delhi Daredevils. The next two positions would be shared by CSK and RR.
Ah,where does that leave MI-the current table toppers.Well, i have a place for everyone. It's going to be the 4th place for them unless RR plays badly from here.Well the law of playing outside your home is catching up with MI as it happened for other teams.
Also the master Tendulkar has an uncanny ability of losing/performing badly against weakest team/bowler in his career; If you don't agree then please rewind and check his records against bowlers like Ashley Giles,Fidel Edwards,Piyush chawla(with due respect to their talent).when he can hit a bowler of Warne's Calibre, why can't he do the same against weak bowlers. With that he also tends to give an undue respect to these bowlers when they don't deserve it and that is the problem with the team in which Sachin is playing,be it Indian National Team or MI, all his other team mates tend to think that so and so bowler is very good on that day as the master himself has submitted to that bowler very cheaply.Unless this attitude is changed,we are not going to see MI or India team winning IPL or WC2011 respectively.
Since I have started bashing MI, let me extend it further. Why is Keiron Pollard in MI?Is he taken as a bowler or a batsman by paying hefty price on his talent.Somehow MI is continuing with him even though he failed miserably, why can't you give him some rest and take Sanath for that matter,as he is a proven customer.Others like Tiwary,Sathish are acting like school kids, till Sachin is at the crease, they seem to play fine, but once he gets out, I don't know what happens to them,c'mon guys grow up....
Inspite of the hiccup against KKR, DD is on its way to take the top honours this IPL.Deccan,KKR,RCB will fight it out and may play spoil sport to some teams, however it is difficult for them to sneak into last four.
Well folks, that is my assumption for this IPL and lets see whether I get it right?

My IPL

Well dont get misled by the title, I am a cricket buff like innumerable indians around the world and hence just airing my views about the ongoing IPL as I dont dare calling it my IPL as BCCI or Mr modi might take a legal recourse.I thought of writing this blog mainly because I miss all those discussions that I used to have with my cricket loving colleagues,my brother and hence thought of keeping in touch with all those through this forum.
Okay after all the introduction why I am hell bent on writing this blog, I write this on a friday afternoon when one more match of IPL is scheduled later tonight between Punjab and Bengaluru; But is it a match worth waiting for where it looks completely one-sided.Punjab off-late
has its opponents within its team and need not look out for any opposition outside with the news about drift in team, stake sale etc hitting headlines everyday as it happened with KKR last time.
What happened to our very own Yuvi who clobbered 6 sixes in T20 and he somehow looks out of touch for this edition or does he want us to believe it like that?

With the world twenty 20 cup coming up, I dont see any noticeable difference in his approach and the only difference that I can see is the extra flab that he has put on and it is quite evident for all the viewers on the TV that he is not the athletic types that he used to be because of that fat tummy of his.
Going by his attitude towards his work, time is not far where one can overlook him for all the formats of the game including IPL.
Many of you might be thinking why this guy is so critical about Yuvi, the reason being that I am one of his ardent admirer,I still feel that he had the capacity to fill the big void in batting that is created after one of the Fab Four retired, but somehow this guy has his eyes set on something else.
Well I would also take this opportunity to talk about my favourite player since I was a 8 year old guy and my cricket interest grew only because of this genius Sachin Tendulkar.
Since I have taken the name of the genius here, let me tell you , he is gonna rock in this edition as it looks like he has finally settled down in his game and he knows what is best in terms of shot selection that would make him last for 25 years in international cricket without taking too much toll on his body.
With this edition of ipl,he is trying to prove that he is a clever leader also. The way he is batting, statisticians are busy guessing where would his record stop,
well that is best known to the master himself.I, for one would like to think that he has set some near term goals that he would like to acheive(as he always tells that he has short term goals)
1.Helping India Win 2011 WC ODI
2.Scoring 20000 runs in ODI
3.Scoring 17000 runs in tests
4.Scoring 120 international hundreds(he is already nearing 100)
5.Scoring 300 runs against Aus in a test match in Sydney Cricket Ground
Well the way he is playing in IPL looks to be a pre-cursor for acheiving the above "SHORT TERM" goals. He always states he is not interested in records, but somehow we fans feel that he has the potential to acheive this.
Coming back to IPL,this has been the most unpredictable IPLs that have been played so far and it is difficult to predict a semifinalist even at the half way through the
tournament.Going by the initial wins and losses, I feel the following teams will NOT make it to the last four for sure
1.Punjab
2.Kolkata knight riders

Tomorrow:Why is it going to be tough for Deccan chargers to make it to semis?
